My Video Collection
A note about my vides. These videos fall into three (3) major classes: 1) Those that I have “acquired” elsewhere and am re-posting here for your viewing. 2) Two that are “home movies,” so to speak, that document my skydiving. And 3), music videos I have “produced,” combining an audio track together with images and text. Several of these are ballads that were first recorded in Vietnam and others dealing with Vietnam Veterans, today.

Give Me a Huey: A fitting tribute to the aircraft most associated with the war in Vietnam. Good music, lyrics and imagry. This is a “happy” view of our most favorite bird. It will make you smile and say, “Oh hell, YES!! Anyone who can watch this video and not get goose-bumps, is not a Vietnam veteran. Duration: 4 min. 36 sec.
The Man in the Doorway: Another tribute to the Huey and her crews. A poem that will make you feel proud and tear your heart out at the same time. This one will bring tears to the eyes of anyone who was there and those that can empathize with us. Make sure your friends and family see these. It might help them understand our war. Duration: 4 min. 12 sec.
Remembering the Ultimate Sacrifice: Dedicated to the American Soldier. This slide show, set to music (artist not identified), pays homage to the ultimate sacrifice a warrior can make. A sacrifice we each accepted as a possiblity when we put on the uniform. Duration: 4 min. 50 sec.
America, Remember Me: I received the music for this video many months ago. I added the imagery in an attempt to bring the plight of our “forgotten” we always leave behind. I intentionally chose the most disturbing POW graphics I could find. Viewer discretion is advised.
Duration: 3 min. 40 sec.
Don’t Blame it on Us: I, also, received the music for this video many months ago and added the imagery. From the time of my last home coming in 1970, until President Reagan admonished Americans to not blame the Vietnam War on the warriors, veterans were openly despised by our fellow citizens, including veterans from earlier wars. It is the experience of most Vietnam veterans, that this attitude has just gone into the closet. This song, obviously recently recorded, exposes the blame
and disrespect we still endure. Duration: 3 min. 36 sec.
We Thought it Would Always be That Way: Like the previous two (2), I received the music for this video many months ago. This is a stark reminder about the “Home Coming” of the Vietnam veterans vs. what we expected and deserved. The ubspoken stigma continues with mere lip-service being given in recognition to our service to OUR country and our sacrifices for OUR country. It is a
time in America’s history the American people want to put behind us,
to the great detriment of my brothers. Duration: 3 min. 42 sec.
A Shau Tower or The Battle of A Shau: 1st of seven (7) music videos compiled by me from ballads that were written and performed in SEA during the war in Vietnam circa ‘67 - ‘68. This ballad recounts the true story of the rescue of a downed SPAD pilot by one of his wing men.
Duration: 3 min. 45 sec.
As We Came Around and Tried to Get Some More: 2nd of seven (7) music videos compiled by me from ballads that were written and performed in SEA during the war in Vietnam circa ‘67 - ‘68. This ballad tells the gruesome story of three fighter pilots avenging the loss of one of their own. Men responsible for wreaking death and destruction on the enemy often adopt what seems to be a very
blasé attitude. Duration: 1 min. 47 sec.
The Ballad of the Green Brassiere: 3rd of seven (7) music videos compiled by me from ballads that were written and performed in SEA during the war in Vietnam circa ‘67 - ‘68. This ballad, sung to the tune of The Ballad of the Green Beret, tells the tale of the loss of one of the most beloved of those serving in Vietnam - the military nurses. Their suffering is but a miror note in the history of the
war except for those of us to whom they administered.
Duration: 2 min. 38 sec.
The FAC Who Never Returned: 4th of seven (7) music videos compiled by me from ballads that were written and performed in SEA during the war in Vietnam circa ‘67 - ‘68. This is the story of another of the too often unsung heros of the war in Vietnam. The “story” is told by the song,
so enjoy. Duration: 3 min. 33 sec.
Friendly FAC: 5th of seven (7) music videos compiled by me from ballads that were written and performed in SEA during the war in Vietnam circa ‘67 - ‘68. This ballad mimics a radio conversation between a besieged Special Forces patrol and their FAC. This is really fun and clearly shows
the camaraderie and mutual respect these warriors felt.
Duration: 4 min. 36 sec.
Stand to Your Glasses: 6th of seven (7) music videos compiled by me from ballads that were written and performed in SEA during the war in Vietnam circa ‘67 - ‘68. This song, which has many versions and is known by many different titles is based upon a poem written by Francis
Thompson (1808-42), a youthful junior official stationed in India.
Duration: 1 min. 54 sec.
Strafe the Town and Kill the People: Last of seven (7) music videos compiled by me from ballads that were written and performed in SEA during the war in Vietnam circa ‘67 - ‘68. A song of terrible black humor. As with As We Came Around and Tried to Get Some More, men responsible for
wreaking death and destruction on the enemy often adopt what seems
to be a very blasé attitude. Duration: 0 min. 52 sec.

Duration: 3 min. 28 sec.
The Green Berets and the Story of Special Forces: This British documentary traces the origin of special operations forces and particularly the U.S. Army’s Green Berets. NOTE: 1) The first Special Forces operation was in WWII, when, on the first operation, a team destroyed Hitler’s heavy water project. Thus ended Germany’s nuclear program. This operation set the standard for the SF “suicide mission.” Some things are worth dieing for. And 2) There were NO Special Forces units activated during the
Korean War. Duration: 54 min. 16 sec.
U.S. Army Special Forces - Elite Army Service: A U.S. Army recruiting video (circa 2014). Viewer discretion is advised. This video might give you a strong desire to jump out of airplanes.
